New Order and ZZ Top join festival line-up at Glastonbury

New Order and ZZ Top are among a raft of acts confirmed to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Other names on the bill include Beck, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, Foals, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Madness and Stormzy. This year's three headliners - already announced - are Muse, Adele and Coldplay. The festival takes place at Worthy Farm at Pilton in Somerset from 22 to 26 June. Sam Smith has successful vocal cord surgery at a hospital in Boston

Sam Smith has had successful surgery on his vocal cords at a hospital in America. Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston said in a statement that he is expected to make a full recovery. The surgery was performed by Dr Steven Zeitels, who has carried out the same procedure on Adele, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Lionel Richie. According to the hospital, Smith's condition was the result of unstable blood vessels in his vocal cord. They can rupture and stop people singing. […]
