UK survey suggests young people don’t like clubbing

Young people's love for clubbing in the UK has waned, according to a new study. 18 to 35-year-old Guardian readers were asked to share their opinion on nightlife, notably their views on nightclubs nowadays, with 131 of the 196 included admitting they'd rather not go out. Next year's Brit Awards will represent a more diverse range of music, Brits chairman Ged Doherty has said. He promised to review the 1,100-strong voting academy who decide nominees, so it "can be more truly representative". More names have been added to the line-up for this year's T in the Park alongside headliners Calvin Harris, LCD Soundsystem and The Stone Roses. Included in the new additions are Hannah Wants (pictured above) who will be making her debut, Oliver Heldens, Chase & Status and Alesso plus many more. Viola Beach single enters top 20 with Swings & Waterslides

Viola Beach have entered the singles chart at number 11, a week after the Warrington band died in a car crash. Tomas Lowe, Kris Leonard, River Reeves and Jack Dakin died along with manager Craig Tarry on Saturday while on tour in Stockholm.
